Walton entrepreneur Ashraful Alam sells 1 lakh shares
SM Ashraful Alam, one of the entrepreneurial directors of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, a company listed in the engineering sector in the capital market, has announced the sale of 1 lakh shares owned by him. This information is known from Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE) sources.
According to sources, this entrepreneur and Vice Chairman of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC has 6 crore 56 lakh 81 thousand 989 shares of the company. Out of those shares, he can sell 1 lakh shares in the public and block market of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) within the next 30 working days. He was recognized as Walton Plaza Best Taxpayer in the recently concluded financial year.
As of March 31, this year, the total shareholding of Walton Hi-Tech Industries is 98.90 per cent held by entrepreneurial directors, 0.44 per cent by institutional investors, 0.10 per cent by foreign investors and 0.56 per cent by general investors.
Earlier last month, he expressed his interest in selling 3 lakh shares of the company out of 3 crore 89 lakh shares of Walton Hitech Industries to S. M. Rezaul Alam, one of the other entrepreneurial directors of the company. It is reported that he sold 1 lakh shares through the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on the last day of the month.
Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC was listed in the capital market in 2020. In the last one year, the share price of the company has increased from Tk 609.00 to Tk 1,047.70. Last Monday, the closing share price of the company was Tk 623.70, the opening price was Tk 625.00 and on Wednesday, the price rose between Tk 609.00 to Tk 625.00 and the last closing price was Tk 610.60.
